MOTH is a new pop-up, community micro-cinema coming to Stroud.

We’ll be based out of the wonderful Loganberry, at the top of the High Street. We’ll be showing a range of films, old and new, that you’ll not otherwise see on the big screen in Stroud.

We’re talking 1930s screwball comedy, 40s noir, 50s sci-fi, 60s New Wave, gritty 70s thrillers, 80s trash, 90s mumblecore, and everything before, since, and in between…

We’ll also show off-beat, newly released modern masterpieces, and films by creators from diverse, under-represented backgrounds.

Once we’ve spooled up we’re aiming to do things like themed food & film events, book club tie-ins, short film marathons and all sorts.

MOTH is a volunteer-led, not-for-profit, community micro-cinema.

All money MOTH makes from tickets, food & drink, merch etc. will go towards running the cinema. Any extra will be invested in growing MOTH to show more films to more people!

We’re still figuring things out, but we’re hoping to kick off before the end of the year. So for now, sit tight and stay tuned.
